The Arts and Cultural Heritage Division, M-NCPPC, Departtment of Parks and Recreation

Focus: The Arts and Cultural Heritage Division coordinates and manages three arts facilities, four historical rental properties, the Prince George's Equestrian Center, and the Showplace arena. Programs include art camps, visual and performing art classes, touring exhibitions, performances in music, dance and theatre for school-age children as well as family audiences, artist studios, rental space for arts and non-arts organizations, artist's residences, historical exhibits, administration of historical sites for private functions. The Division coordinates special events such as the Bluebird Blues Festival, in cooperation with the Prince George's Community College, the Prince George's County Fair, the Harlem Renaissance and the Black History Month program.

Arts Education in Maryland Schools

Focus: AEMS's mission is to build support for high-quality, systematic arts education in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts for all Maryland school children.

Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, Inc

Focus: The Anacostia Trails Heritage Area (ATHA), Inc. is a 501c3 organization and a state of Maryland Certified Heritage Area bordering Washington, DC near Colmar Manor, and continuing northeast to the Patuxent River in Laurel, MD. The area encompasses 15 communities in northern Prince George's County.

ATHA's mission is to encourage and promote heritage tourism to build local economies, while preserving, developing and promoting the natural, historical and cultural resources. The organization partners with the public, private, and non-profit sectors to accomplish its goals and objectives.

Maryland Citizens for the Arts

Focus: Maryland Citizens for the Arts, Inc. (MCA) represents Maryland artists and arts organizations of all disciplines. Its principle mission is to promote adequate funding for the Maryland State Arts Council and to advocate for the arts at the state and federal levels. Our companion organization, Maryland Citizens for the Arts Foundation (MCAF) seeks to increases public recognition and support of the arts through education and research.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation

Focus: Mid Atlantic Arts foundation celebrates, promotes, and supports the wealth and diversity of the region's (DC, DE, MD, NJ, MY, PA, VA, US Virgin Islands, WV) arts resources and works to increase access to the arts and culture of the region. Providing leadership for the regions' artists and arts organization.

Biography: Created in 1979 to encourage continued development of the arts and toe support arts programs on a regional basis, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is dedicated to growth and appreciation of the arts throughout the region, the nation and the world. Foundation programs encourage the creation of new works of art, promote new relationships and ideas within the performing arts community, build new audiences, advocated for the arts in education and connect the arts and artists of the mid-Atlantic region to the rest of the nation and the world.

National Endowment of the Arts

Focus: The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Maryland State Arts Council

Focus: An agency of the Department of Business and Economic Development; Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts.

The mission of the MSAC is to encourage and invest in the advancement of the arts for the people of our State. The goals of the Council are to support artists and arts organizations in their pursuit of artistic excellence, to ensure the accessibility of the arts to all citizens, and to promote statewide awareness of arts resources and opportunities.

The MSAC's programs are aimed at benefiting all Maryland residents regardless of political or religious opinion or affiliation, marital status, race, color, creed, age, national origin, sex or sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or geographic location within the State.
